In 1908, Peter L. Robertson of Canada recognized the need for a better screw recess. This square recess, known as "Robertson®" was born for the Canadian market. To introduce these screws into the U.S. market, Pan American Screw was founded as a division of Robertson, Inc. in 1957. Today, we proudly market our Robertson ® and Recex® fasteners to a variety of industries. Our primary product line is used extensively by the furniture, cabinet and woodworking industries.

Our new Woodmaster screws are quickly becoming the "preferred" wood working screw because they virtually eliminate pre-boring and countersinking (check them out and see for yourself).  We also invented the Lo-Root® thread design, which is the most widely used thread style in the woodworking industry.

Manufacturing facilities in both Canada and China afford us the versatility to produce standard and special fasteners for a variety of applications and industries. Producing our Robertson® and Recex® tooling along with our own Robertson® power bits and drivers is your assurance of the "best" driver bit/screw recess fit available anywhere.
